Caliente performs "Frenzy" composed by Mario Bauza and René Hernandez/José Madera, and published by 3-2 Music publishers. The photos were taken by Caitlin Warrick and edited by Jim Warrick. The performance was at the 2009 Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, Illinois.

Diaz Music Institute is also proud to announce that the Presidents Committee on the Arts and the Humanities and its partner agencies, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the

National Endowment for the Humanities has selected Diaz Music Institute as a semifinalist for the 2010 Coming Up Taller Award. 459 nominations were received from 48 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Our organizations selection as one of the 50 semifinalists distinguishes us as one of the top arts- and humanities- based programs in the country.
